Energetic, idealistic, sharp as
a razor. He is the main reason Karoly is still in science. He mentored
Karoly over the 1996-2000 years and was critical for Karoly's transition
from trainee to faculty.

He is a systematic, precise,
soft spoken and dedicated physician-scientist. Although Karoly never officially
worked for Dave, he had a major influence on Karoly's development as
